When i come into the IIT my expectation to the faculty was much high, but many of them are not upto that mark. No doubt, all are highly educated but only education doesn't matter, they should also have the quality or they know how to transfer or share their knowledge and experiences to the students. I don't why some professors lack this quality or this happens just because they did not show much interest.

The faculty that we got here is highly qualified , many of them have printed many research paper in their career. So yes they have the capability to be a very good teacher , although this is not the case. As many of the teachers do not teach good in the class. they just come , write the notes and goes. We do have some very good teacher who are brilliant in teaching.

The faculty is quite good. They all are doctorates from either IITs or any reputed international universities. So we can understand their standard. They are not only focused on placements, but also research work. Many of the students have multiple publications which help them for getting admissions in further studies.

Lifetime Experience in IIT Roorkee.

Faculty -

Faculty was highly qualified and experienced. Faculty standards were very high as they were associated with lots of bigger industry projects too. Faculty was highly interested too in teaching as well as in practicals too in the labs. All the practicals were in line with the theory taught in the classes.

Extraordinary.

Faculty -

With the exception of a few, most of the faculties are extremely dedicated and genuinely interested in teaching. The Professors are always willing to entertain any queries. And when they don't have an answer to them immediately (which is quite rare) they see to it that it is the first thing they address the next day. As to their qualification, it is not easy to be a Professor at an IIT and hence their qualification must not be judged. They have obviously been made Professors on basis of academic qualifications and their soft skills.

The list will carry the names mostly from Meta Dept. Seriously, you can't predict about their mood. MMED students future directly depend upon their mood. Grading coordinator is such that even if a child score more marks than the average marks of the class in that subject, even then also he will be awarded with a C+, which means a 6 pointer. Yes I'm talking of Mr. Devendra Singh, MMED honourable grading coordinator. I know these people will not gonna read these questions and answers, I doubt if they have their account on quora or not, as they even don't know how to operate a PC, and they are assigned to teach C++ and other computer courses to students. Yes, again I'm talking about our honoura...
