Aliah University Recent Admission Alerts and Updates

Aliah University, Kolkata, formerly known as Mohammedan College of Calcutta, popularly known as Madrasah-i-Aliah or Calcutta Madrasah. The university imparts education in the stream of Arts, Science, and Technology through UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs such as BA, MA, B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Tech, M.Tech, etc. Admission to all the courses is via entrance exam conducted by the university itself. Students applying for B.Tech or M.Tech can also submit WBJEE or GATE exam scores for admission. The application process for admission is in online mode. Graduates from the university are placed in companies such as Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, ITC, Berger, HCL, etc.

Latest Updates:

  • Aliah University has activated a window for uploading marks in the B.Ed application form 2020. Candidates are required to edit their forms by December 8, 2020. The form is mandatory for the candidates appearing for AUAT 2020.
  • Aliah University has released 1st provisional merit list B.Tech Lateral Entry admissions. Candidates can check the lists given below:
  • Aliah University has released the 6th allotment list for various course admissions 2020. Candidates can check the whole list here.
  • The university is also opening application forms for the B.Ed program 2020. Aliah University B.Ed admission 2020 application forms opened on November 17, 2020, and will close on November 27, 2020. The application fee for the same is INR 500.
  • AUAT 2020 PG admission applications will be invited only till November 27, 2020. The application portal was opened on August 10, 2020 both for UG and PG programs. The portal was closed for UG admissions on August 25, 2020.
  • AUAT 2020: B.Tech and Lateral Entry to 2nd year of B.Tech. e-counselling will start from November 11, 2020.
  • The admissions for Aliah University B.Tech. 2020 has been started. 20% of seats will be filled through WBJEE 2020 Entrance exam. Admissions through WBJEE 2020 has been started from September 10, 2020, based on the WBJEE 2020. There will be 3 rounds of seat allotment. The dates for WBJEE seat allotment 2020 are August 31, 2020, September 24, 2020, and October 19, 2020.
  • Aliah University 4 year B.Tech and B.Tech Lateral Entry admission 2020 will be through an entrance exam. 80% of 4-year B.Tech seats will be filled through the entrance exam. The admit card was available from October 10, 2020, and the entrance exam was conducted on October 17, 2020. The date of declaration of the 4-year B.Tech and B.Tech Lateral Entry 2020 merit list is expected to be declared in the 1st week of November and commencement of classes is yet to be declared.
  • The declaration of the 1st Merit List is expected to be declared in the 1st week of November.
  • The counseling process of Aliah University 2020 M.Tech admission is through GATE 2020. The last date for counseling was September 7, 2020. Classes for the students selected through CCMT 2020 have already started from October 5, 2020. Aliah University also opened provisional admission for candidates through Non-CCMT 2020 criteria on September 30, 2020, and declared the list for selected candidates on October 5, 2020.
  • The registration for GATE 2021 is over. The last date to fill the application forms for GATE 2021 was October 14, 2020, with a late fee.

Admissions at Aliah University mostly entrance-based. For most of the programs, the university conducts its own examination, i.e., Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT), for course admissions. Major courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, etc. are entrance-based courses. Entrance exam scores accepted for various courses are in the following manner:

AUAT

Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT) is an online entrance test conducted by Aliah University. It is held for admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate and five-year integrated courses. Candidates are advised to check the AUAT Eligibility Criteria, before applying for the exam. AUAT Application Form is available for candidates in online mode only.
