The University has a course of its own,it is customised as student really need for their higher education as well as in their campus counseling and future prospectives. It gives exposure to job facilities as analysts in different private sectors Jadavpur University's engineering department is the best faculty.
From my school time, I have a special attraction to the subject of History. Throughout my journey till Masters, this subject helped me to are about the history of the whole world, the beginnings, and the end of someplace also. This subject taught me the meaning of humanity in the true aspect. It also helped me to fall in love with traveling to different places. In Jadavpur University, the number during a master's degree in a class is 30. The faculty is well and good enough. Most of the Teachers have Degree od Doctorate in different aspects of history. They are really helpful and the big thing is friendly in nature. In the department, the exam system is based on Semester. Two internal exams or project submissions are must before the semester. The topics for internal was what faculty taught in class. The most important thing is, in this institution, a student has a full right to speak up their thinking.
Its very affordable maybe not even rwo thounsdand rupees is spent in an entire year. Fir my course it was 1275 rupees yearly. And exam fee ranged from 40 to 70 rupees. There are no extra charges which we need to pay. The college at timr of admission breaks down the amount in parts.
The course and curriculam is designed in such a way that a student is taught on a wide range of topics of the subject. It is very interesting and teachers may even ask the student to research and present in class for a specific topic. Due to this research learning it helped me to dig deep in anything and learn. Even it has made me more critical.
The fee structure is very feasible compared to other universities, for engineering is less than 5000 a year, and for science and arts it's around 1300 yearly(maybe some extra charges for labs in science faculty)
JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY gives you the opportunity to explore a variety of ground (hiking, photographic, music, quiz club and many more)apart from the academic studies, here the exam is conducted twice a year in mid May and mid December, but internal assessments are conducted weekly.
We only pay 2000 Rupees a year and often less, which covers all the fees and associated costs. So considering the scenario of higher education in my state and country it has to be said that, the fee structure definitely provides for inclusive education.
I think the course curriculum fits the need of the discipline. It enhances an interdisciplinary mode of education and gives students a horizon of knowledge. I know many of our alumni who are in different fields of Humanities and Social Sciences who have categorically stated that this discipline gave them the required boon. The exam structure is very student friendly and scientific, the semester system provides a meritorious and unbiased checking with a code system.
The fee structure is probably the cheapest in the country compared to such quality education. We had to pay only 1235 RS/at the time of our admission. The semester fee is only 44 Rs/. It is really very feasible as you can see.
As we have a semester system here, we sit for exams every 6 months. In between, we have internal exams which may vary according to the departments. The time is pretty short but we always have this enthusiasm to study as the exams are always knocking at the door.
It is one of the cheapest colleges there is. In engineering, it only costs 1,000/- for four years while in arts, annual fee is 1,200/-. Cheap as you like. For the underprivileged, there are scholarships too in case they cannot pay the minimal fee. There are no other extra costs for library or any other access.
The course curriculum in Engineering is not the best. More importance is given towards getting good grades by mugging up the subjects taught and they are mostly outdated topics. Students, being extremely brilliant, opt for self-studying and rely on advice of seniors. While the campus drive for jobs is decent and a good deal of people go abroad or to IITs for further research, the departmental facility is mostly terrible. In Film Studies, the course is designed towards research as well as providing the students a good exposure to the academia. The teachers make it clear from the very beginning that it is an academic department. However, there is ample scope for jobs too since campus drives are there for humanities too.
The fee structure for the Arts and Science Faculties is pretty reasonable and affordable. The average fees for both the undergraduate and postgraduate level students vary within the range of Rs 3000 per year. The low fees make education at JU feasible for all students regardless of their economic background.
The environment of academic research is very competitive and encouraging at the university. The course assignments, seminar papers and semester assessments provide students with an ability to perform well in a research background. The electives offered every semester range across various research issues and interests, and there are at least 10 choices to chose from every semester.
The college fees are rather cheap and affordable around Rs 2500 or so in a year. Furthermore there are many scholarships and allowences for the brilliant students one needs to follow the website, for a detailed update.
This course is meant for film academia although also touches a part of filmmaking. But it is mostly related to film aesthetics, film theories and other tools required for proper film reading and decoding tge meta-texts.
Unbelievably low. This is due to the government aid to the University and it is hence tough to get through the admissions test. For every semester it is less than two thousand.
The course curriculum is one of the best designed to suite the future of the student. It is although not about film making, but of course it helps a lot to make films and get into film schools like FTII and SRFTI. This course does not only throw light on film itself, but literature, media, television and contemporary modern philosophy along with films of Ray, Ghatak, Godard, Hollywood, Bollywood, Truffaut, Kurosawa, Fellini and many more as texts.
