Admission :

I got admission to this University via the Entrance examination which opts for MCQs. This institution is 203 years old and South Asia's oldest institute with a notable alumnus who has been Presidents, Vice - Presidents, Economist, Prime Ministers, Researchers, Noble Laureates, etc.

Remarks :

Best University in India with highly updated facilities and a rich library and has the best curriculum which encourages research work.

"The Best university for higher education"

Remarks :

Too much of strike and gherao by the students, voice raising, needs to improve canteen food quality and tender must be changed. Much more exposure should be provided to the students.

"A legacy rusted along the sands of time."

Remarks :

Positive: There are some teachers who are true to the legacy of the University and understand the liberal and helpful mindset that this University has always tried to promote and implement. Negative:The current system is nowhere near to that it used to be in it's Golden Ages, with attendance criterion and inconsiderate behaviour by most authority causing havoc on the life of otherwise diligent students

Remarks :

It's ways of imparting education,the upgraded faculty, convenient library facilities.The teaching facilities are much cooperative.There are scopes for further exposure in which the professors helped us a lot.They even guided us for our future prospects.

Placement Experience :

There were several companies visited during the course.There were placements for the students who performed well in all the activities given by them.

Ans. Both colleges are great options for studying statistics. Presidency University has a glorious history and the department of Statistics is one of the best departments. The university has great alumni which makes it score higher in terms of ‘Heritage’. One of the most famous names among them is P.C. Mahalanobis. There are dedicated faculty members like Prof. BR and Prof. PD, who is an alumnus himself. One of my friends has Statistics as his electives but he never got the chance to be taught by these reputed faculty members. Students are highly dedicated and excels in their respective university exams. Graduates from this college pursued post-graduate studies from reputed universities like ISI, CMI, IMSc, etc. If you have Honours in Statistics with Mathematics and Economics, then it will be a great combination. In terms of environment, you will get a sense of freedom at Presidency and a change to form a opinion on various aspects of life. However, St. Xavier’s College is also good but it is very strict and you will get a feel of school there. It is known for its discipline while Presidency University is know for its creativity.Read more

Ans. Presidency University has been ranked 76 among the top universities in India by The Week. Acharya University Bangalore provides an excellent academic ambiance to the students and has been accredited by NAAC. Admission: Presidency University offers a BTech program for CSE.The admission is through JEE Mains and the course fee is around 2.1 lakhs for the first year. Acharya University offers a BE program for CSE and the accepted entrance examination for admission is KCET. The course fee is 3.01 lakhs for the first year. Infrastructure: Presidency University- It has a well-equipped campus with a library that has over 10,000 books and there are many computers in the library for students to browse information. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the hostel facility is also very good. The medical facility is available 24/7 inside the campus for students and staff members. Acharya University- It is well known for its infrastructure and green environment. Labs at Acharya University are excellent with high-speed internet. The college has a fully automated library. Presidency University offers a good academic environment with dedicated teaching staff. 65 + acres of the green campus is coupled with plenty of modern amenities and facilities that make students' life at the Presidency University a truly stimulating experience. Faculty: Kalasalingam University- It incorporates a highly equipped and proficient faculty of 550 members out of which 250 are Ph.D. holders in their particular discipline.
