University of Calcutta Admission
The University of Calcutta offers admission to various courses of over 60 departments based on merit and entrance exam. For admission into undergraduate courses of Arts, Commerce, and Science; the student must have a Higher Secondary School Certificate on the basis of which merit lists are released. For Admission to engineering courses, the university conducts the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and admission is then provided on the basis of WBJEE rankings. In the case of post-graduate and doctoral degree courses, one has to write an entrance test conducted by the university or any national level exam which is conducted by UGC related to that subject.
