Course Curriculum Overview
Postgraduate Program in Management (PGP) prepares a student for all the challenges with respect to the socio-economic environment. At IIM Bodh Gaya, the course curriculum of PGP is deeply involved in teaching accounting, financial management, business research, and the Indian legal system. An equal share of theoretical knowledge projects and industry workshops provides an all-around enrichment for a management student. Here at IIM BG, the overall curriculum is overseen from IIM Calcutta's curriculum. The eminent faculty has substantial experience of teaching in IIMC, the institute known for its standards of PGP Finance. It is the prime reason, why I opted for PGP Finance at IIM Bodh Gaya, as the overall pedagogy is as per the IIMC. The exams are held timely at the end of each semester, however, students need to achieve the minimum threshold marks of 6 CGPA to be promoted to the next semester. If they fail, students have to register for electives offered in that Semester.

The PGP program at IIM Bodh Gaya is divided into three segments. The first year contains the core courses and summer internship for a period of 8 weeks and the second year contains elective courses. There are a total of three terms in a year and each term has a span of over 11 to 13 weeks.

I chose PGPM to complete the course faster than the MBA and get the same value. the course is specifically designed for working professionals, hence it has many advantages in the job market. The faculties are highly skilled and educated, they provide assistance in both academics and profession.

The course curriculum is similar to iim Calcutta and pedagogy is usually case based in which cases are from Harvard business case The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 and the teachers are quite expert in their respective field we have a thorough discussion of all the case. The term exam is case based and one has to implement the learning in the exam so comprehension is important.

MBA is one of the aspirational education and it is same for me. The faculty is one of the well experienced and well knowledgeable. The teaching methodology followed is the case study method. The term exams and mid exams are well structured and test your concepts.

I chose the PGDM course because of the career growth also a business degree will help me to have a managerial post easily in any company. The faculty-student ratio is 1:10. Professors are really qualified and supportive. They gave real industry examples which help to know about the concept better. In every term, one midterm and one end term exam happen. It is moderately difficult to pass the exam because of the case-based questions.

The term exams are being conducted on time and the exams do test our business acumen. The questions are application based mostly so we need to go through the application of these concepts taught in the class.

IIM Bodh Gaya will select candidates through the CAP process and call them for a personal interview. For the candidates who are shortlisted for the PI but are not qualified in the CAP, the PI will be conducted through a separate process called SAP.
