IIM Amritsar EMBA Course Description

IIM Amritsar offers a 2-year full-time non-residential EMBA course for working executives. The course involves rigorous, cutting-edge curriculum vetted by industry professionals. Students get a chance to interact with industry experts and a chance to network with professionals. 

• EMBA aims to prepare working executives to advance their careers and help them transition to leadership roles.
• IIM Amritsar allows the working executives to understand the current workings of business better. It is also very helpful for future entrepreneurs. 
• The classes of EMBA will be delivered online via video conferencing with an interactive learning management system. 
• The virtual classes will be spread over weekends (Friday-Sunday) and some evenings on weekdays as required.
• EMBA will be for a total of 750 hours and will have rigorous courses in the various functional domains and industry-relevant elective courses.
• A Bachelor’s degree with 3-years of working experience is compulsory for the course.
• Admission is based on the CAT/ GMAT/ GATE/ GRE/ IAAT score followed by PI.

IIM Amritsar EMBA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for EMBA programme are mentioned below:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Candidates must have a work experience of at least three years in managerial/entrepreneurial/professional role
• Candidates must also have a valid score of CAT/ GMAT/ GATE/ GRE.

IIM Amritsar EMBA Selection Criteria

• Shortlisting of candidates for the EMBA programme is done on the basis of the CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ GMAT.
• In case candidates do not have any of the above scores then they have to appear in IIM Amritsar Admission Test (IAAT).
• The shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online Interview

• The final selection will be based on entrance test score, performance in Interview, comprehensive assessment based on candidate’s previous academic record, work experience, readiness for the programme and motivation of students.

IAAT Exam Pattern

IIM Amritsar Admission Test (IAAT) has a similar structure as that of the CAT exam.

It contains questions from the following topics:

• Numerical ability

• Select ‘EMBA’ programme.
• Then click on “Click here to Apply”
• Register by providing all the details.
• After successful registration, login using email id and password to fill the application form with all the required details.
• Once the form is filled, pay an application fee of INR 1500/- 
• Lastly, submit the application form.

NOTE: Candidates need to pay an additional amount of INR 1000/- for appearing in IAAT
