The institute offersB.Tech courses in 3 specializations, viz., Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME). The minimum eligibility to apply for B.Tech is75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in 10+2 or secure top 20 percentile in 10+2 conducted by the respective board.
Selection is done on the basis of performance in the qualifying exam (10+2) and JEE Main. JEE Main is a two-tier examination conducted by CBSE Board. For admission to IIT Jammu, the merit/rank list will be prepared based on preference to 10+2 marks and JEE Main rank.
The final selection of candidates will be made based on their academic merit, counselling and performance in the personal interview round.

Candidates cannot apply directly through institute’s website. They need to first apply for JEE Main and then for JEE Advanced in order to get admission in the institute.
