Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Meghalaya was established in the year 2005, under the approval from the Government of Meghalaya. The university is affiliated to PCI, and INC along with the recognition of University Grants Commission(UGC).
The university was set up as a state private university, with a vision of providing quality education especially to the youth of Christian community.
The institution offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in more than 10 fields, catering diverse sectors of the economy. The module of the courses offered is based on providing job oriented academic learning, helping the students in career growth.

MLCU Department of Economics, Commerce, and Management
The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of commerce, management, and economics. The courses offered provides students with industrial knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, helping them with mani-fold advancement in their career.
B.B.A: It is a 3-year undergraduate program, moduled with a combination of classroom knowledge and practical learning.
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 from any stream
B.Com: The program offers students a wide range of information about financial accounting, business statistics, business analytics, etc. The duration of this course is 3-years, including lectures, presentations, group discussions, etc.
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 from any government recognized school/institution, with maths as a compulsory subject.
M.B.A: Master’s in business administration is an industry-driven program, offering a number of specializations in the field of management. The course is spanned across 4 semesters, emphasized on industrial training.
Eligibility Criteria: Bachelors’ degree from any government recognized university/institution.
M.A (Economics): It is a 2-year postgraduate program, offering insights about the quantitative and theoretical background of the principles of economics.
Eligibility Criteria: BA in economics, an applicant with any other bachelor’s degree, will have to take bridge courses in statistics, mathematics, and economics.
MLCU Department of Computer Sciences
The department was started in the year 2006, offering courses specialized upon the development of computer applications. The department also conducts the Symantec IT Training project, to provide expertise in the field of web development.
BCA: Bachelors’ of Computer Applications is a 3-year undergraduate program, providing insights about web development, application management, etc. The course is customized to meet the industry demands of graduates in the I.T sector.
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 or equivalent
MSc. I.T: It is a 2-year postgraduate program, providing comprehensive knowledge about efficient utilization of modern technologies. The course covers aspects like web development, networking, and software development.
Eligibility Criteria: BSc/BSc (IT), BSc (CS), BSc (HNT), BCA or equivalent.

MLCU Scholarship Programs
Every year the university sets up a scholarship fund, providing aid to the students by waving part of their tuition fees. The students are provided with the scholarships after meeting certain eligibility, as directed by the university.
