The New England Law school offers two courses i.e, Juris Doctor (JD) and Master In American Laws (LLM). They conduct both full-time and part-time programs. Successful completion of any of the course makes the student eligible for Bar exams in the United States.

New England Law Admission Deadline

The admission for the fall intakes is mostly on a rolling basis. The university starts accepting the application from December. But they do have a deadline and applications should reach before it. The applicants can get the notification about the selection within 4-8 weeks of submitting the application. Below are the deadline for the following courses.

New England Law International Admissions

The international students who ought to sit for the bar exams in the United States can apply for any of the programs in the New England Law. The college provides 3-year, 4-year, part-time JD programs and successful completion of any of these programs makes them eligible for the bar exams.

The international students can follow the following process and the requirement list to apply for the program they want:

  • Firstly, foreign applicants should create an LSAC account.
  • The undergraduate transcripts of the foreign students should be submitted through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) JD Credential assembly service.
  • Credential evaluation of the foreign transcripts should be done by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. These evaluations should be incorporated into the CAS report.
  • The foreign students should take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) as part of the application process. The test should be taken before March as the results for the test conducted after march will come out after the admission deadline.
  • If English is not the primary language of the foreign student or if English has not been the instructing language in the undergraduate program, then applicants are required to submit the test scores of TOEFL/IELTS. Scores of any of these exams should be directly sent from the testing agency to LSAC. These scores will also be included in the Foreign Credential Evaluation and then in the LSDAS report.
  • Non-immigrant students need to apply for the I-20 form to apply for the visa. For this, they need to submit the bank statement, showing sufficient funds to pay for the tuition fees and living expenses of 1 year.
  • They can contact the Office of Registrar for the visa inquiries and office of admission for applying related inquiries.

Language Requirements for International Students

For the applicants who are not from an English speaking country or if the applicant has not received an undergraduate degree from an English speaking institute, then the applicants need to take English language proficiency tests. They can either attempt TOEFL or IELTS.

Visa process for international students

Applicants will have to apply for an F class student visa from the US embassy in their country. They are required to arrange all the documents and apply for an appointment for a U.S student visa interview through the VFS website.

Documents required for visa interview:-

  • A valid passport and previously issued passports
  • 2 or 3 recent passport size photograph.
  • DS-160 confirmation page with barcode
  • HDFC visa application fee receipts
  • VFS appointment letter
  • SEVIS receipt and I-120 (This will be issued from the university, once your Confidential Statement of Financial Support Form is received by the office of admission.

New England Law Graduate Admissions

The candidates who score lower than the minimum required scores can still apply. Because New England Law college has a holistic approach to select the applicants. There may be another category in which they may excel.

The applicants can check their application status online. It takes about 4-8 weeks after the submission of the complete application to get the notification about the selection process.

The admission is on a rolling basis, so earlier application means more chances to get selected.

If the applicants have a lower GPA or lower scores than the minimum scores in LSAT, then they must include an addendum to the application, providing reasons for a lower score and make sure to submit the application and all the documents before the extended deadline.
