Visa Process for International Students

  • To receive the Form I-20, applicants are required to submit the following financial documents :
    • Bank statement of the applicant or the applicant’s sponsor showing a current balance of $34, 289 for undergraduate applicants or $39,715 for graduate applicants. The statement should include a date, signature and seal of the bank official.
    • If the bank statement is in the applicant’s name, an original Financial Sponsor letter must be submitted signed with date, stating that the sponsor would be responsible for the college expenses and the exact amount should be mentioned.
  • The required documents must be sent through email to the International Students Services.
  • Pay the required SEVIS fee.
  • Schedule an interview for the visa with the US Embassy or the Consulate. To this interview you will need to carry the following items:
    • Entire Form I-20.
    • Original Letter of Acceptance to the College at Brockport
    • Original Bank Statement
    • Letter of financial support and letter of financial guarantee.
