Elms College was founded in 1897 by the sisters of St. Joseph and the Diocese of Springfield. In 1927 the college was originally established as a liberal arts college which then throughout the 1940s and 1950s expanded its curriculum. Elms college ranked 83 in regional universities north, with a very selective acceptance rate of 79%. It is one of the best places to study in the USA. A total of 1,151 students are enrolled currently for the various programs offered by the College. The male and female sex ratio is 75% and 25%. In fall 2019 a total of 1,531 students got enrolled as they cleared all the eligible criteria.
