Saint Michael’s is a private, Roman Catholic college founded by the Society of Saint Edmund in 1904 at Colchester, Vermont. Saint Michael’s is a four-year college providing more than 40 majors and minors and. Saint Michael’s College offers admissions in three undergraduate programs as well. The college started enrolling international students first in 1954.

Saint Michael’s is a residential college and all its students live on campus. SAT or ACT scores are not required for admission nor GMAT or GRE for graduate admissions. Saint Michael’s is known for its academic quality and commitment to students

Programs, Faculties, and Divisions of Saint Michael’s College

Saint Michael’s offers programs in more than 40 majors and minors and three graduate programs to offer to its students. The College is internationally recognized for its high-quality graduate program in clinical psychology, education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). The college has 132 full-time faculty members and 90% of its faculty members are Ph.D. holders. The faculty includes renowned scientists, authors, musicians, historians, and directors.

Saint Michael’s is spread over an area of 440 acres of land in Colchester, Vermont. The campus is a 24-hour living and learning community. This campus is one of the most beautiful, safe, diverse, happening locations for a college. Green Mountain’s surrounding campus provides a spectacular view of Camel’s Hump and Vermont’s highest peak i.e. Mount Mansfield. Campus has facilities for recycling used stuff and a compost pit. The campus has its own organic garden and farm stand during the growing season. There are sites for hiking, rock climbing, river and lake kayaking, and fly fishing near the campus. College has Adventure Sports Centre to assist students in participating in such outdoor sports. Burlington city located in Vermont is known as the healthiest, happiest, and most appealing cities in the entire country.

Application Process

International students who want to seek admission into this university can go through the below-mentioned admission process. Students are advised to appear for the exams which are mandatory to study in the USA and keep their scores ready before applying to the university.

How to Apply: Students who meet the required minimum score in English Proficiency Tests can apply through Saint Michel’s direct application or common application for undergraduate programs. For graduate programs, students need to fill the separate application form.

Application Fee - Non-refundable application fee of 50 USD is to be submitted.

Once you are officially communicated regarding your successful admission to Saint Michael’s College, you need to deposit 500 USD to secure your place at college. You will receive your admission documents and form I-20 required to obtain a student US visa.

Now apply for an F-1 student visa to study in the USA by applying for an interview with the US consulate located in your country and attend the same along with the necessary documents.

Scholarship and Financial Aids

Saint Michael’s College offers international students scholarships to study in the USA so they can pay their fees or utilize it for their personal expenses. International students are exclusively considered for scholarships. International students may not be allowed to apply for more than one category of scholarship but are bound to receive one with the greatest amount based on eligibility. Students can avail additional outside scholarships that are not awarded by Saint Michael’s College. Nearly 90% of the students receive financial aid.

Work While you Study

Saint Michael’s assists students to avail the various opportunities available both on-campus and off-campus to enhance their practical experience and earn something to assist themselves financially during their stay.

On-Campus 

International students are allowed to work on campus for a limited period of 20 hours per week during the session and beyond 20 hours during recess.

Off-Campus

To be eligible to work off-campus, students need to get prior approval from US Customs and Immigration Services.

Alumni Network

Saint Michael’s has an alumni network of around 20,000 members spread across 50 states and in more than 70 countries. Some of the notable alumni are Tom Freston (American entertainment industry executive) and Loung Ung (American human rights activist and lecturer).
