Columbus College of Art and Design International Admissions

CCAD has 7% of international students coming from more than 35 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.

The admission process and requirements are mostly the same for international and US applicants. However, some additional requirements need to be fulfilled by international students.

Admission Requirements

  • Academic records must be submitted in English. If in any other language, it must be accompanied by an official English translation.
  • A written essay.
  • A portfolio having 8-15 pieces.
  • A photocopy of current passport photo id page.
  • SAT/ ACT scores (not mandatory)

Visa Process for International Students

  • International applicants will be issued Form I-20 from the university after the application is submitted.
  • Applicants will need to provide the following documents to receive the Form I-20:
    • Copy of passport
    • Proof of financial support
    • Bank statements
  • Sponsor letter (if applicable)
  • Complete the I-20 and pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.
  • Applicants then need to apply for the F-1 or J-1 visa.
  • Submit the form and pay the application fee and schedule and attend the visa interview.
