Antioch University is a private institution with a lenient admissions policy. Admissions at AUM are invited for Fall and Spring and Summer semesters only. Established in 1852, Antioch University Midwest is a private institution serving students in Yellow Springs, Ohio. AUM has six other campuses including Los Angeles, Graduate School of Leadership & Change, New England, Online, Santa Barbara, and Seattle. 

In the fall intake of 2018, a total of 118 applicants enrolled in the AUM, out of which 39 were undergraduate applicants and 79 were graduate applicants.  Programs at Antioch University Midwest include three MBA programs, nine undergraduate programs, and some online programs. The small size of the classrooms enables students to interact in a better manner. 

AUM offers financial aid for its students that includes grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study funds.[4] Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the university is conducting online classes and will continue to do so until further notice.

  • The Undergraduate Early Childhood Education programs require a 2.75 GPA from previous studies to be eligible for application. 
  • Minimum GPA for other undergraduate programs is 2.0.
  • AUM opens undergraduate applications in fall, spring, and summer sessions. 
  • However, Graduate applications are open in fall and spring intakes.

International Student Admissions

Antioch University welcomes applications from all qualified international candidates. International students who wish to study in the US must follow the application process provided on the Admissions page. The university asks for additional requirements from international students such as a certificate of eligibility and financial support, TOEFL OR IELTS score, minimum grade point equivalency, etc.

Visa Process for International Applicants

After the student is selected for admission, the university will email the Certificate of Eligibility for a Student Visa (I-20 form) and acceptance letter. Students are required to take these forms and other necessary documents to the U.S. Consulate to apply for an F-1 Student Visa.

  • Applicants must submit other documents related to Immigration status.
  • Proof of financial support for a minimum of one year of study at the University must be presented along with F-1 Visa Application.
  • Students have to demonstrate their English language proficiency.
  • Academic credentials in English formally evaluated by an approved foreign credentials evaluation agency.

MBA programs requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university. 
  • Resume
  • GMAT or GRE scores are not required
  • If an applicant's undergraduate degree is below a 3.0 GPA, then they can answer an additional question in 300 words about what other skills and factors contributed during his undergraduate and how those skills are helpful in the university's MBA Program.
  • Admission essays: Students are asked to answer two of the three questions in 300 words or less. Students will find the questions in the application requirement section of MBA programs

Master’s and Certificate Programs at AUM do not require the GRE or any other standardized test for admissions.
