Georgia Central University Programs

Georgia Central University offers 15 programs that are divided into five schools- Business Management, Christianity, Divinity, Music, and Computer Science are the schools offering degrees. Some certificate level programs are also offered by the university such as ESOL, Theological Studies, and Computer Science (Networking).

The number of Bachelor’s degree programs offered by the university are four. Georgia Central University also offers five Master’s degree programs, along with three certificate programs, one associate degree programs, and three doctoral programs.

Georgia Central University Admission Process

Georgia Central University offers admission to international students in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Every international student is required to pay an additional 500 USD as an international student fee along with the application fee.

How to Apply?

  • The student is required to complete the paper application and send it to the concerned department.
  • An application fee of 100 USD is also to be paid by the applicant.

Documents Required

  • A minimum GPA score of 2.5 is also required.
  • English Language requirement is also required if the student is from a non-English speaking country. The TOEFL exam is accepted by the university.
    • Students seeking admission in the UG programs are required to have a minimum score of 60 (TOEFL) and Graduate programs aspirants are required to have a minimum of 80 (TOEFL) on the Internet-based exam.
    • 173 marks are required by the UG international students in the TOEFL exam and 213 in the TOEFL exam for the Graduate students on the paper-based version.

Georgia Central University Financial Aid

Financial aid is awarded on the basis of need, merit, scholastic achievement, and extracurricular activities. A separate form has to be filled to apply for financial aid. The following are the types of financial aid offered by the university. The amount of the scholarship varies from scholarship to scholarship and from student to student.

  • Institutional Scholarship & Aid – GCU offers this scholarship to the students enrolled in full-time programs and has completed at least two semesters of study. It is based on a student’s needs and qualifications.
  • Presidential Scholarship – The presidential scholarship requires a GPA of 3 and complete a minimum of 26 hours per academic year. Students availing full Presidential Scholarship cannot receive other GCU aid.
  • Need-based tuition assistance – This kind of scholarship is offered to those students who demonstrate an exceptional financial need. The recipient is required to have a minimum GPA of 2.
  • Academic Achievement Scholarship – The students seeking academic achievement scholarships are required to maintain a minimum GPA score of 3.75. A student is required to complete the studies of a minimum of 26 hours per academic year.
  • GCU Merit Scholarship – Students with exceptional service to the University and the student body are offered this scholarship. A minimum GPA of 2 is required to be maintained to avail of the opportunity.
  • GCU Work-study – Georgia Central University offers a work-study option to the students. Students demonstrating financial need are allowed to work 4 - 20 hours a week. Work-Study does not interfere with the applicant’s class schedule.
