Located in the heart of Boston city and spread out over 17 acres, Emmanuel College houses over 2200 students. With over 5000 applications every year, it has a high acceptance rate of 71%.

The college currently offers over 60 major, minor and concentration programs. It also offers graduate programs in the fields of nursing, management, education, and instructional design. Emmanuel College International Admissions

The college accepts students from different countries and cultural backgrounds. The Emmanuel College admissions for international students are similar to those of the US citizens with a few added steps.

The requirements for international students include:

  • Application form: Application can be submitted through the Common Application portal or the college also accepts offline paper applications
  • Official transcripts: Official Secondary School and College transcripts are required. If the transcripts are not in English, they should be translated into English by a certified translator. It is highly recommended but not mandatory to have the transcripts reviewed by an official credential evaluator
  • Essay
  • Standardized test scores (optional): Standardized test scores including SAT I, SAT II and ACT are optional but the applicant can include the scores if they choose to.
  • Two letters of recommendation: Out of the two letters, one should be from an academic teacher and the other from the school counselor. In the absence of a school counselor, a letter from the school advisor or principal will do.
  • International students information form has to be submitted by all non-US citizens to finalize the admission application process.
  • Certificate of eligibility (I-20) application form has to be submitted along with a bank statement, stating that a minimum of $62,366 USD is available at present in funds.
  • Verification of the financial resources of the applicant is mandatory to issue an I-20 by the college. Along with this, the information page of the passport has to be submitted as well for identification.
  • Interview (not mandatory): An interview with the admissions counselor on campus, over the phone or Skype is highly recommended but not mandatory. It gives the college insight into the ethnic and cultural background of the applicants along with their personal interests. This may aid greatly with the application process.

Language Requirements for International Students

All non-native English speakers are required to submit proof of proficiency. Emmanuel college accepts both TOEFL and IELTS scores

The class size of the academic year 2022 has 1.8 % of international students.

The admission decision notification for early action applicants is out after December 15, for early action II, it is out after January 15, and for regular decision, it is rolling after January 15. For spring applicants, the decision notification is rolling after October 1.

Both the early action applicants and the regular applicants have until May 1 to inform the college of their enrollment decision.
