An increase of 8% was seen in the number of applications received at the Midland University for 2018 admissions. The Midland University offers admissions to students under various undergraduate and graduate courses.The acceptance rate of 52% was recorded for the recent 2018 fall semester admissions. University enrolls 333 new students for Fall 2018. Currently, the university offers several major & minor undergraduate and 4 graduate programs.

  • The university invites applications for Fall(Graduate & Undergraduate), Spring (Graduate) or Summer (Graduate) session. Also, the spring session is divided into two parts: Early & Late spring.

Midland University International Student Admissions

The procedure of admission for International students is pretty simple if applicant carefully proceed with all the steps. Applicants just required to select the desired course and provide the necessary documents such as transcripts (official), ACT /SAT scores etc. and that’s enough for the applicant to take admission in the university. MU also offers admission to Transfer applicants with some additional requirements which are mentioned below

Requirements for transfer students:

  • Fill the application form which can be found on the university's website.
  • All the official documents or transcripts stating that completion of secondary education.
  • All the Notarized transcripts from previously attended institutions/colleges
  • ACT or SAT scores (Waived off if 24 college credits are completed)
  • Min GPA of 2.0 is mandatory for admission

If transfer applicant is suspended for academic insufficiency (generally short attendance) from the previous attended institutions/colleges may not be eligible for admission is Midland University until after a waiting period of one semester,unless applicant is approved by the admission committee or office or has satisfactorily completed 9 credit hours at another institution with a min grade of C- in each.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • All the official transcripts or documents stating that applicant has completed his/her secondary education
  • All the transcripts from previously attended institutions.Must be in Notarized form)
  • Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS)
  • If the applicant has done at least one year of college coursework in the US than English proficiency scores can be substituted but it can vary from cases to cases
  • Finance statement indicating sufficient funds to cover all costs. International applicants are required to purchase a health insurance (Mandatory)
  • SAT/ACT scores if applicable
  • Min GPA of 2.0 is required for all courses
  • Some programs require GRE/GMAT scores, Resume as well as letter of recommendation etc.

Note: All the transcripts & documents should be submitted in English. If translated from any other language than it should be certified. All transcripts will be evaluated by following agencies;

Visa Process for International Students

  1. I-20 Form will be issued from the University.
  2. Candidate has to provide passport copy, financial support proof, bank statement, etc. in order to apply for a visa.
  3. After filling I-20, candidate has to pay SEVIS I-901 fee.
  4. After that, choose your required visa like F-1 or J-1 (depends on chosen program like whether its full time or part time etc. factors)
  5. Attend the visa interview and you have done.

Note: Health Insurance is compulsory for all visa holders.

Midland University Undergraduate Admissions

Midland University offers limited no. of undergraduate courses consists of BA (Bachelor of Arts) & BS (Bachelor of Science). Applications for Undergraduate courses can be made through University’s official website. Midland University offers just 4 graduate programs. The MBA course offered by the university is popular among the students. The requirements for graduate programs is same for International applicants but having different deadlines.

The admission committee at the Midland University evaluates each application very seriously. The students are offered admission on the basis of their academic performance, test scores, achievements and fulfilment of the necessary requirements.
