The atmosphere and competitive. It had a good science program with numerous opportunities for research with professors in state of the art facilities. The college life seemed fun but also down to earth.
It's very rigorous but definitely doable, you just have to study. Professors are more than willing to help during office hours, but you have to put the work in and study and complete assignments. There is also a tutoring center if you still need help.
SUNY Geneseo was close to home, pretty affordable as it was a state school, and had good programs. I had several friends who were planning on going there as well. Also, I received some scholarship money from them.
It was great! A little heavy in my opinion on philosophy courses. As well, it was lacking in any courses that discussed modern political events, which would have been very timely given it was during the 2016 election cycle, but great overall!
