Hiram College International Student Admissions

The entire admission procedure for international students is in the same lines as that of US applicants. However, all the international students are mandatorily required to meet the additional needs as posed by the university. Additionally, all the candidates must also carefully review their visa process when applying for admission.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • International students application form.
  • Official transcripts including school transcripts/ academic records/ copy of secondary school certificate/ Higher secondary school transcripts/ mark sheets from previously attended university
    • Official transcripts that are not in the English language must be translated in English when sent. It must be sent to Hiram College – Office of Admission P.O. Box 96, Hiram, Ohio 44234 or mailed at international@hiram.edu.
  • Photocopy of passport

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 calculated in the last two years of their previously attended program.

Visa Process for International Students

The below-listed criterion must be mandatorily fulfilled at the time of admission for enrolling to the various courses provisioned by the college.

  • International applicants will be issued Form I-20 from the college
  • Candidates must complete all the pre-arrival documents mentioning medical, flight details, etc.
  • The following documents must be provided in order to receive the Form I-20
    • Proof of Financial Support
    • Sponsor letter
    • Bank Statement
    • Copy of Passport
  • Completely fill the I-20 form and pay the fee of SEVIS-F1 fee of $500.
  • Applicants are required to apply for the F-1 visa. Submit the form and pay the application fee
  • This will be followed by a visa interview which is required to be scheduled prior.
