Housing Facilities

Carson-Newman University offers both on-campus and off-campus housing facilities. Female and male residence halls are Alumni Hall, Butler Hall, Burnett Hall, Heritage Hall, Swann Hall, Leconte Apartments, etc.

  • Alumni hall: This is a traditional housing for upperclassmen. This alumni hall features a spacious TV lounge, community kitchen, soda machines, study lounges, and laundry facility.
  • Burnett Hall: It’s a traditional-style living community that contains two Living Learning Communities known as the First-Year Experience (FYE) for first-year students and the Cultural Experience Hallway (CEH) for domestic students.
  • Butler Hall: Traditional style housing for upperclassmen
  • Heritage Hall: Traditional style housing for upperclassmen and First-Year Students. This hall occupies up to 450 male students.
  • Swann Hall: It is traditional style housing for upperclassmen as it contains student parlour, study rooms, a TV lounge with a soda machine, a laundry room, a community kitchen, and Wii Nintendo.
  • LeConte Apartments: Apartment style housing for Juniors and Seniors. There are two different styles of housing either two or four students in each apartment.

Application: Those who want to get admission need to submit the online application form.

Application fee: 100 USD (non-refundable)

Grants

To get the Federal Grants, students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). By completing FAFSA each year, students can re-apply for federal grants.

In order to provide work to students, Carson-Newman University runs the Carson-Newman student employment program for students to earn money. Those students who have been hired for the on-campus position must submit the following documents prior to the first day of employment:

    STUDYING EXPERIENCE IN CARSON NEWMAN

    It is small In comparison to others. It is local to my city as it is only an hour and a bit. It is out of the city so was accommodation was cheaper as opposed to those in the city, saving a minimum of $1000.


    Exams - 

    The course is not exam based and is coursework based only. Assignments are set for each module which includes essay writing, short answered questions, presentations and recorded group discussions.
