The main campus of the university is at Juneau situated alongside Auke bay and Auke lake accommodates Classrooms, Egan Library, Administrative buildings, Housing and dining for students, Natural Science research lab, Other laboratories, Lakeside convenience store, Recreation center, a bookstore, student clubs, and a mining simulator.

  •  Ketchikan campus is mainly holding the UAS Maritime training center and offers on-campus and online classes.
  • The third campus at Sitka offers nursing, fisheries, and construction courses.
  • Housing and dining are available at the main campus.

Residence Facilities at University of Alaska, South East

John Pugh Hall is a freshman housing set up in naturally beautiful surroundings the residential facility offers lounges, study nooks, community kitchen, laundry facilities, mailboxes, and interior access to garbage and recycling disposal along with basic amenities costing USD 9-10,000 per year.

  • The upper-level students have two and four-bedroom apartments, Banfield hall, and space at John Pugh halls also having additional facilities like a kitchen with oven/stove range, refrigerator, microwave, storage space, etc. and on a sharing basis cost USD 6 to 9,000 per year.
  • Lakeside Grill, Lakeside store, Spike’s café and catering service are available for food and dining options. The campus also has meal plans ranging from USD 1,200 to USD 4,200 per year.

Scholarships & Financial Aid for International Students

The University offers merit-based scholarships for international students to afford their study in the USA. The scholarships are based on the academic performance and standardized test scores to full-time applicants. A GPA of minimum 2.0 is required to be considered for the award.

  • A separate application form needs to be submitted for availing of the facility.

The University has Career Services and subscribes to the portal Handshake that allows the students to upload their resume and look for the suitable available positions. The portal also helps in polishing and acquiring employment skills. The employers are also able to post their requirements on the portal.

The staff at the center helps in polishing and acquiring the employment skills of student; the center also organizes campus job fairs, provides job search and career tests resources and works with alumni to find suitable internships, jobs or career paths for the students.
