The college is close to home, which allowed me to stay close to family and easily work while still living at home. The state colleges are typically more affordable, and this university had a program with the community college in my state to earn a discounted tuition.
I think the course curriculum at my school was good. They were the only in-state college that allowed me to earn a Bachelor of Science degree instead of just an Arts degree. I loved learning more about the science aspect of psychology.
URI has a really good accounting program and it is such a beautiful campus with a lot of different people that go here. Being at URI is such an amazing opportunity. The greek life and sports are also a big part of it which is a lot of fun and entertaining.
My opinion on the course curriculum is that it is amazing. The business program takes about 2 years to get into, and once you get into the business program, that's when you really start your accounting classes.
My family made me choose this college because it was close to home and I only have to cover in-state tuition. It is a good college for my major because one of the campuses is near the water so I can study there too. It's a heavy nursing and science school. But is also big for briskness and engineering.
The course curriculum is okay. You have to be careful with your academic advisor, some care and will guide you step by step(mostly science department advisors) but others will tell you to take classes you don't end up needing to graduate and this tends to put people behind a lot.
