Programs, Campus and Accommodation


The University of Northwestern Ohio is divided into five colleges. Each of the colleges of the institute offers a plethora of courses for international students including Bachelor, Masters and Associate programs. The program areas include Business, Occupational Professions, Health Professions, Applied Technologies. The university also offers Online MBA programs that are offered by the Graduate College.

The university supports international study groups for facilitating better learning grounds for students in addition to training teachers to teach English to Non-English speakers.


The University of Ohio has one residential campus spread across 200 acres of land. The campus is well-equipped with all the essential amenities to make the stay comfortable. These include on-campus accommodation, stationery, the library, dining services, etc.

It comprises a library with a complete desktop, laptop, and computer stations. It also includes a big atrium to relax and hang out.

Apart from these, the university also presents candidate amenities to hang around with friends. The Race Station is the popular hangout spot that serves students as a home base to enjoy and engage in student activities. Also, it organizes a variety of special events around the year which include Fall and winter bowing nights, welcome week, live music events, comedy nights, student truck pulls, dance events and the annual Halloween dance programs.

The campus also comprises the Indoor Athletic Complex that includes a variety of instruments like weight lifting machines, free weights, cardio equipment, fitness room, and rock wall. The Gymnasium also known as Garage offers an ideal place for engaging in sporting events, entertainment programs, intramural sports, and other special programs. There are over 20 clubs and organizations catering to various needs of the students

Housing Facilities/Residence

Students are not required to stay on-campus. However, the University of Ohio offers on-campus residence to students. The college recommends freshers to live on-campus in the first six months of study. The accommodation includes apartment houses that are backed with all the necessary amenities. These include student care center, UNOH food court, meal plans and library, 24/7 security, Indoor Athletic Complex, Student activities, Wi-Fi connection.

On-campus housing includes dorms and suite types of houses with different types of flooring plans at College park, Northwestern and college park, Sherwood Park and Racers Village.

This serves as the home for many students on the campus. Some of the advantages include a food court, library, athletic complex, 24/7 security, student activities, Wi-Fi facilities, etc. Each of the rooms includes basic cable, heating and AC facilities, bathrooms, closet, smoke alarms, kitchen tables, and chair as well as bed frame with mattresses.

The residence also offers perfect meals with 6 different food stations.Students are required to follow certain policies which are as follows:

  • Students must pay 75% of their tuition fees paid either out of pocket or financial aid.
  • They must have an active class to live on-campus
  • Students must be under 25 years of age.

Off-campus Residence

All the students who want to move off-campus must take all their belongings along and return the key to the Housing Office. They must sign a Housing Exit Street document. Students need to apply online for accommodation by filling the housing application submitted online through the website’s house application page in August and October

Scholarships/Financial Aid

Students of the University of Ohio are offered Financial aid in the form of grants, loans, student employment, and scholarships to study in the USA that is awarded based on financial needs. Candidates are required to fill the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for enabling financial aid. Below listed are the grants and scholarships granted by the university to its students:

Students are granted numerous scholarships in the College of Business, Health professionals, Occupational professions and Applied Technologies. The applicants must meet the following requirements viz. The scholarship award must be used for traditional tuition fees only. They must have a minimum GPA of 2.5

Some of the studentships offered by the institute are as mentioned below.

  • K & L Ready Mix Scholarship

Students availing this scholarship must be enrolled in one of the following degrees viz. B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, Associate of Applied Business degree in Accounting and Business Administration. They must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. A maximum of 4 recipients for an amount not exceeding $3,750.

  • Honor Scholarships

Students who are high school valedictorians and salutatorians are offered scholarships by the university scholarship committee. They must have a total ACT score of 26 and an SAT score of 1170 along with a GPA of 3.3. The amount of scholarship granted will be $20,000.

  • Senior UNOH Business Scholarship

The scholarship is offered in the fields of Accounting, IT, Medical Technology, Marketing, Business Administration. Eligible candidates must submit their school transcript and should have an average percentile of 60% in the scholarship test and a high school GPA of 4.0 and a high school attendance record. The reward ranges from providing full tuition fees for a baccalaureate degree for securing the first place to a price reward from 5,000 to 2,000 for the 2nd to 5th position.
