Union College is a private Seventh-day Adventist college in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. Union College was established in 1891 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is accredited by the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA) and the Higher Learning Commission. The college is home to the Center for Spiritual Studies and the culture of all religions.

Programs/ Courses offered at Union College

Union College offers both undergraduate and master programs. Union College offers 50+ majors, minors with an emphasis in 27 fields of study including arts, business, health care, humanities, liberal arts, natural science, pre-law options,pre-medical, dental and pharmacy, professional programs public and social services, religion, social science, technology, mathematics, etc.

Union College also offers a unique graduate program of Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.

Union College Campus

The campus of Union College is expanded into 50 acres in southeastern Lincoln, Nebraska. Union’s arboretum campus offers billowing trees in a sprawling park-like setting which blends in the ivy and brick of collegiate tradition with modern facilities. Union College includes building such as:- 

  •  AdventSource which is served as headquarter in Union College campus
  •  Carnegie Building housing a library.
  •  Student Housing building such as Cooper Place, Prescott Hall, and Rees Hall.
  •  Everett Dick Administration Building:- the administration building houses all of the college administrative offices; division offices for religion, humanities, human development, and business and computer science; classrooms; and computer labs.
  • Engel Hall occupied by The Division of Fine Arts which includes art and music department
  • Gymnasium, Ortner Center, Larson Lifestyle Center, Tennis Courts, and famous clock tower. 

Student Housing/ Accommodation at Union College

Union College has three residence halls for students to live on-campus. Residence halls for men and women are different. 

  • Rees Hall: A women’s residence halls with two closets with doors, two beds, air conditioning and proper amenities in each room.
  • Prescott Hall: A men’s residence hall with two beds in each room. Wall-to-wall carpeting, central A/C and heat, two desks and chairs, walk-in closet, bathroom suites, etc. are available for the students.
  • Culver Hall: Another residence hall for men with two beds in each room.

Union College is primarily a residential college requiring residence hall housing for its students. However there are a few exceptions for students who want to live off-campus. Students with family or married or older than 22 are allowed to live off-campus. Students need an application for moving off-campus approved by the Deans' Council before signing any rental/lease agreement. An application to live off-campus is part of the student's registration checklist on Portal. Students can look for affordable student housing options near the college campus.
