Woodbury University is a private establishment of California providing courses in Business, Arts, Architecture and Design. Woodbury University Admission Deadlines

The University has rolling admission, granting the opportunity to get admission as long as the seats are available. However, to ensure an easy admission for International applicants, the University has set some priority application deadlines as specified below:

Woodbury University International Admissions

International applicants are required to submit additional documents for admissions at Woodbury University. Proof of ELP is required along with an F1 Visa to study in the US.

Admission Requirements

  • All international transcripts must be submitted with official translations.
    • For electronically submitted official transcripts, the documents must be sent initially to Parchment, Naviance or The National Clearinghouse.

    • Official Bank statements dated within the past six months are accepted. If someone is (/are) sponsoring the applicant, the affidavit statements will be required.

English Language Requirements for International Students

International applicants are required to produce one of the following test scores.

The test scores should not date back more than two years. Students with one of the following credentials can be exempted from producing the test scores;

  • Transferable English composition course with a Grade C or better from a US College or University
  • Successful completion of English language program with maximum proficiency level, from ACCET(American Council for Continuing Education and Training) or CEA (Commission on English Language Program Accreditation).

Visa Requirements for International Applicants 

  • After the student is selected for admission, the university will email the Certificate of Eligibility for a Student Visa (Form I-20 A/B). Once received, all the details should be checked carefully.

  • Completed non-immigration visa application form (DS-156) with passport size photo.

  • A valid passport.

  • Receipt of visa application fee.

  • Evidence of SEVIS fee payment (I-901 receipt)

Woodbury University Undergraduate Admissions

All 20 undergraduate courses offer admission to International applicants. Application to the courses has a rolling deadline policy, but students are advised to apply before the priority deadlines. Some of the information regarding the requirements are listed below:

Admission Requirements

  • High school transcripts
    • For applicants who have not completed their high school studies must submit the transcripts at least till Grade 11 at the time of application.
  • English proficiency proof
  • SAT I or ACT are not mandatory.
    • Code for SAT I is 4955 and for ACT is 0481.
  • Letter of Recommendation and Personal essay are optional for Freshman application. If submitting a personal essay, they must answer some of the questions specified in the University website.
  • Transfer applicants must submit LOR and Personal Statement.
  • Animation and Graphic Design major needs Portfolio for a better assessment of the application.

Woodbury University Graduate Admissions

Most of the Master’s courses, except the University’s MBA program, begin in Fall term only. MBA commences in Fall and Spring semester. GRE or GMAT is not required for admission.

The overall graduation level of the University was reported at around 85%. Considering the admission rate, the admission can be said to be moderately selective. Since there are no requirements for any external standardized entrance exams, applicants must demonstrate a very good academic excellence in order to get an admission at the University.
