DeVry University International Admissions

DeVry University offers over 50 associates, bachelors, graduate certificate, and master's degree programs through 5 schools and colleges. The admission process of International students is the same as of domestic applicants but they have to meet a few additional requirements like English proficiency, high GPA, bank statement.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • All the academic records/transcripts from the previously attended institution(s).
    • Certified by the institution's office registrar.
    • Sent directly from the issuing institute a stamped and sealed envelope.
    • Official transcripts that are not in English must be accompanied along with the certified English translation.
  • For evaluation, international applicants should send their transcripts to:

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students

International applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit proof of English proficiency. They can submit the TOEFL or IELTS scores to demonstrate English proficiency. The minimum required scores by the university are given below.

Visa Process for International Students

  • International applicants will be issued Form I-20 from the university
  • Applicants will need to provide the following documents to receive the Form I-20:
  • Complete the I-20 and pay the SEVIS I-901 fee 200$
  • Applicants then need to apply for the F-1 or J-1 visa. Submit the form and documentation

All international applicants are considered for financial aid awards. To maintain scholarship/grant eligibility, applicants must retain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester. Applicants must provide official documentation during enrollment unless an extension is granted.

The admissions decision for undergraduate domestic applicants is announced within 2 weeks of applying. International applicants are notified of the admission decision 3-4 weeks after applying. Admission decisions for graduate programs take up to 2 weeks for domestic applicants and 2-3 weeks for international students.
