Monmouth College was established in the year 1853 by Scotch-Irish Presbyterian pioneers. It is a private college imparting education at the undergraduate level. At Monmouth College, students are offered an undergraduate degree in over 60 subjects such as humanities, sciences, social sciences, and arts.
The college offers 35 majors courses, 42 minors and 17 pre-professional courses in various fields.
In order to learn research skills at an early age, the college provides with SOFIA (Summer Opportunities for Intellectual Activities). This program offers opportunities to explore the field of research with faculty members. The college provides a stipend of about 500 USD to a student enrolled in the SOFIA program as well as a housing facility and meal for a duration of 3 weeks.
