College of Saint Elizabeth is a private Roman Catholic, coeducational, four-year, liberal arts college in Morris Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The College of Saint Elizabeth(CSE) was founded in the year 1899 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth. CSE offers graduate, undergraduate and certification programs in 23 majors for students to study in the USA

With a student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1, the CSE aims to provide personalized teaching experience to each of its students. The CSE had an enrollment of 1,186 students, from all states of the USA and countries like Bangladesh, Ireland, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Russia, China, Japan, Taiwan, Ecuador and a host of other countries.

Programs, Campus, and Residence

Programs

  • College of Saint Elizabeth offers a variety of programs at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
  • The undergraduate programs of study include majors in fields of Biology, chemistry, sociology, business administration, English, etc 
  • The undergraduate program also offers minors, dual degree programs, combined degree programs in fields of Biology, business administration, education, mathematics, physiology, etc
  • The graduate programs of CSE include doctorate and master’s degrees. 
  • Doctorate degree include:-
    • Ed.D. Educational Leadership
    • Psy.D. Counseling Psychology
  • CSE offers graduate programs in education, physiology, management, nursing, PA, etc
  • International students are not eligible to enroll in any online programs, professional certificates, or teaching certifications.

Campus

The campus of CSE has mainly divided into two departments, the academic department, and administrative department which consists of different halls and buildings with offices. Henderson Hall mainly consists of traditional classrooms, nine SMART technology classrooms, rentable food labs, etc and Saint Joseph Hall, the hub of the campus, houses our gymnasium and Ward Dining Room.

The Residence halls of CSE have the President, dining hall staff, Community Assistant, professors, librarians, custodians which makes students feel like living at home.

Residence

College of Saint Elizabeth maintains two residence halls for its full-time undergraduate students. CSE has two resident hall which is:- 

  • Founders Hall
    • built-in 1966
    • The hall can accommodate 160 students
    • WiFi, laundry, parking, smoking area, health, and wellness center are provided
    • Kitchen is present on all floor 
    • It also offers two lounges with Tv, couch, piano, conference table and vending machine for visitors and space for study.
  • O'Connor Hall
    • Built-in 1926
    • The hall can accommodate 210 students
    • WiFi, laundry, parking, smoking area and twenty-four hours quiet study lounge
    •  Two kitchens per residential floor
    •  O'Connor Hall offers two lounges
      • The Parlor, located on the first floor of O'Connor Hall
      • It is a formal lounge used primarily for events, meetings, and weekly liturgical services
      • The Lower Level Lounge is a cozy lounge with café couches and bistro tables, perfect for watching a movie or grabbing a snack.
      •  It also has a big-screen TV, vending machines, and student mailboxes.

Students can also opt for off-campus student housing to stay in the US. The College of Saint Elizabeth collaborates with area facilities to provide graduate students with affordable housing options. Students interested in off-campus housing should contact the CSE PA Program office directly.

Students need to submit their non-refundable 50 USD housing deposit and Residence Life survey by June 3 for priority room selection.

Admission Process

The College of Saint Elizabeth offers admission to students on a rolling basis. International Students are requested to submit all the documents at the time of filling the application form or 30 days before the deadline.

Application:- An online application is required to be submitted. Students can also apply through the Common Application portal forundergraduate Programs and online application from the website forgraduate programs

Application fee:-

  • No application fee for UG
  • 35 USD for PG

Application deadline:- CSE has a rolling admission policy but It is strongly recommended that all admission materials are submitted at the time of application or within 30 days thereof. 

Admission requirements:-

Undergraduate:-

  • Completed and signed Common Application
  • Official Test Scores:
    • A certified record of secondary school (high school), college and university records. (Should be translated in English)
    • IELTS
    • TOEFL
  • I-20 international paperwork.
  • Photocopy of passport with name and photo clearly visible
  • Two letters of recommendation from teachers or school officials.
  • SAT

Graduate:

  • A completed application form
  • Personal statement including the reason for pursuing academic programs
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • All transcripts (must be evaluated by World Education Services on a course by course basis)
  • English language proficiency test scores:-
    • TOEFL-iBT scores of 79 or more
    • TOEFL-PBT scores of 550 or more
    • I-20 international paper works

CSE is committed to providing an affordable and enriching experience for students. 97% of undergraduate students receive some kind of scholarship or grant. International Students can also opt for educational loans from their home country to lessen their financial burden. Some of the scholarships are:-

  • Elizabethan Scholarships
    • Scholarships of up to 21,000 USD
    • Renewable for three additional years (minimum GPA of 3.0 is required).
    • Must have outstanding SAT scores.
    • awarded to students who have outstanding academic performance 
  • Seton Scholarships
    • Scholarships of up to 16,500 USD
    • Renewable for three additional years with continued academic achievement (minimum GPA of 2.5).

Work while you Study

The Student Employment Program for the College of Saint Elizabeth is divided into three employment categories: 

  • Community-Based Work-Study (CBWS) 
    • students are able to work off-campus
    • Those who are eligible for FWS are eligible for this also
  • Institutional Work-Study (IWS)
    • All students who do not qualify for FWS are considered institutional work-study students.
  • Students may work in any approved on-campus site
