I discovered Oglethorpe when I got an email from the university about applying. The admission process was simple. I applied for free and got my acceptance shortly after. I did not initially plan to attend Oglethorpe; initially, It was one of my two back-up schools. I applied to four schools and was accepted into two. I chose Oglethorpe because I liked the programs it offered, and I really appreciated its motto: Nescit Cedar. I later discovered that Nescit Cedar is Latin for he does not know how to give up. That really resonated with me because of my personal life experiences. I graduated 15th out of 200 or so students in my high school. I felt proud to step into my new life as a Stormy Petrel.
