Programs, Campus, and Residence

Programs

The Randolph Center campus offers Bachelor’s, Associate, and master’s in more than thirty-degree programs

  • The Williston campus offers fifteen plus degrees and certificates programs.
  • It also offers certifications and minor programs.
  • The institute also offers degree programs in General Education.

Vermont Technical College provides educational programs, in the following fields:

  • Animal Science, Plants and Agriculture: These are the classroom programs, provided at the Randolph Center campus. The programs offered are of two types Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and Bachelor of Science (BS).
  • Computing and Engineering: The format for these programs is mostly Hybrid(online+classroom). These are offered by Randolph Center, Williston and program type can be bachelors, associate, masters, and certificate.
  • Nursing and Health Profession: The format for these programs is both classroom and online. Some programs are offered on all the campuses, the degree awarded is bachelor’s, associate and certificate.
  • Management and Professional Studies: The format for these programs is classrooms and online both. These are mainly offered in Randolph Center, Williston. The program type can be a certificate, bachelors, and associate.

Some of the famous programs are Advanced Software Development, Computer Information Technology, Agribusiness Management, and Architectural & Building Engineering Technology which offer nearly 100% placements and projected median pay more than 69,620 USD.

Campus

The Vermont Technical College has nine satellites and two residential campuses.

These are the two residential campuses:-

  1. Randolph Center: It is the main campus of Vermont Technical College, spread in 544 acre having modern classrooms, conference facilities, labs, college farm and residence halls. Apart from faculty and students, the local community can join it. This campus offers more than 30-degree programs.
  2. Williston: Located in northwestern Vermont it offers 15-degree programs and certificate programs for full-time as well as part-time students. It has a 44-bed dorm in Chittenden County, near Burlington known as Williston Hall.

Vermont Technical College also has the following non-residential campuses:

  1. Bennington Campus: It offers two programs Practical Nursing Certificate(PN) and Associate of Science in Nursing(ASN).
  2. Brattleboro Campus: It was built in 1907 after the Civil War, and is one of the oldest practical nursing schools of the nation.
  3. Lyndon Distance site: It is a telepresence studio which means with the help of video conferencing and other technology a person sitting in a distant location can interact with persons sitting in a studio. The studio has a space of 18 students at a time.

Apart from these Vermont Technical College also has White River Junction Distance site, Middlebury Distance site, St. Albans site, Rutland, Morrisville and Newport Distance site offering Practical Nursing Certificate(PN) and Associate of Science in Nursing(ASN).

Residence

The Vermont Technical College provides residence in Randolph Center and Williston campus. 

Randolph Center has a residence capacity of 620 students all residence halls are co-ed and have a telephone and wireless internet facility. Rooms are available with both single and double setting.

It has three residence halls:

  • Morey Hall: It is a three-floored building which is built-in 1966. The ground floor is Morey Dining hall, the other two floors have rooms, long halls and two large bathrooms for each floor.
  • Keenan: Located at the quick walking distance from Morey Hall it is also a three-story hall with a housing capacity of 161 students. It was built in 1968 in the honor of late Maurice Keenan, a member of the Board of Trustees, Vermont State Colleges.
  • Nutting: It is the residence hall for first-year students, located near SHAPE athletic facility with a capacity of 170 students. It is completed in 1970.

The Williston Campus has a single 44-bed dorm named Williston Hall

It is a 2-floor building with facilities like internet access, parking and laundry, and a fitness center for both men and women available 24 hours a day. It has a dining, lounge and central kitchen area on each floor.

Admission Process

The student can fill and submit the admission application form, after fulfilling the minimum academic and eligibility requirements of the intended course of study.

Scholarships and Financial Aids

Vermont Technical University offers financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, and loans. International students can apply for scholarships to fund their education. The Vermont Technical College provides the following scholarships:

  1. Annual Scholarships: the award sponsored by organizations or individuals every year to support a student. Students need one essay and General Scholarship Application to apply for these scholarships.
  2. Endowed Scholarships: These are the “named” scholarships given by alumni, sponsors, and friends of Vermont Technical College to students who meet their specified criteria. For these also students need one essay and General Scholarship Application.
  3. Merit-based and other scholarships: All full-time undergraduate students are eligible for these scholarships. It mainly consists of merit-based and need-based air. 
    1. Merit-based scholarships are reviewed annually and given if a student meets academic standards, no separate application is required. 
    2. External scholarships to study in the USA for international students.

Students can also opt for educational loans to lessen their burden of funding their education.
