I got to know about this university while looking for universities and colleges offering M.Ed programs in the US. After considering several criteria like course fees, curriculum, etc. I finally decided to apply for admission to this university and also a few other universities. I had applied at my university by filling a form online through their website, I paid around a $60 application fee for that.
It was interesting as well as confusing at times for me, it included a part-time internship at a local school, it focused on developing skills that are required in the field of counseling like understanding mental health, human behavior, etc.
I made a large spreadsheet of all the colleges I got accepted to. I listed the price, location, program, size, and study abroad. I picked my school because it was the best fit for me. It was also in the location I wanted which was pretty important to me.
I really enjoy the curriculum here. Because it is a liberal arts school, the core requirement allows me to try different subjects which I really like. As for the Business Leadership Program, the classes are good and appropriate for the major.
Location and I enjoyed the idea of a liberal arts school rather than a big state school. Plus I got a scholarship and that made the decision easier. The campus itself is beautiful and I liked a lot of the classes I saw when I visited.
I enjoyed the arts-focused classes more and thought we read and discussed interesting stuff. UPS offers a wide range of subject matter which is great because they really encourage everyone to try different things with the core curriculum requirement.
