Arizona State University (ASU) takes admission in spring, fall and summer season. The university has a total of 51,869 students out of which 42,477 are enrolled in an undergraduate program. The university offers more than 350 undergraduate degree programs.

Arizona State University admissions are not overly selective, and in 2015, 83% of all applicants were accepted. Nevertheless, the applicants will need decent grades and standardized test scores to get in.

In 2017-18, the university received 24127 applications out of which 20302 were offered admission for an undergraduate program. That indicates a fair chance of getting accepted.

Arizona State University International Admissions

More than 13000 students from 136 countries study at Arizona State University. The admission procedure for international candidates is as follows -

  • Submit application form
  • Submit the application fee
  • Official transcripts and examination results to be sent directly from the schools or exam board.
  • Test scores of English proficiency to be sent directly for the testing agency
  • ACT/SAT score submission
  • Application for an I-20 in order to apply for an F-1 or J-1 student visa.

Conditional admission for international students -

ASU may offer conditional admission to international applicants who meet the academic (aptitude) requirements but who are not proficient in English. Conditional admission gives international F-1 students three semesters to submit a passing TOEFL, IELTS or PTE score, or to successfully graduate from ASU Global Launch to be fully admitted to the university.

These aptitude requirements meet the general university admission requirements. Some degree programs may require higher grade points and/or ACT/SAT scores

Competency requirements for international students -

  • Math: four years (algebra I, geometry, algebra II and one-course requiring algebra II as a prerequisite).
  • Laboratory science: three years total (one year each from any of the following areas is accepted: biology, chemistry, earth science, integrated sciences and physics).

While applying to the graduate program of ASU the applicants should choose the program that suited their interest and review the Admission Requirements section. Requirements may vary from program to program.
