Founded in 1976, Bethesda University is a high-quality educational institute based on Christian foundations. In 2017-18 session, the total number of students enrolled in UG and PG programs were 375 and 118 respectively. During the same year, the retention rate was 65%.

Although similar to domestic students, international candidates do need to fulfill a few extra requirements in order to secure admission at Bethesda University.

Admission Requirements

  • Submit Official Transcripts from previously attended/ currently attending schools.
  • Personal Essay (For Religion program students, Christian Testimonial essay)
  • Copy of Photo I.D.(e.g., copy of Driver's license or passport).
  • Medical Examination Clearance form (simple blood & allergy test)
  • Submission of English Proficiency Scoresheet.
  • Necessary Financial Documentation.

English Proficiency Requirements

International students need to demonstrate their English proficiency in order to be considered for admission to Bethesda University. Students with no official TOEFL score need to take the ESL Placement test.

The test consists of five sections: reading comprehension, listening, and writing, speaking and language use. there may also be an oral interview.

Visa Requirements

International students should obtain a study visa in order to enter the USA. Given below are the documents required for the visa process:-

Following Documents would be required:-

  • Official Bank statement ($20,000 minimum and $5,000 for each addition F-2 dependent).
  • Signed and Notarized Affidavit of support (Only if the bank statements is not under the student's name).
  • Copy of Passport.
  • Copy of visa and I-94 (Transfer students).
  • Medical Clearance.

Bethesda University Graduate Admissions

Four graduate programs are offered at Bethesda University: Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Master of Arts in Music and Master & Business Administration(MBA). Given below are the basic admission requirements for graduate programs:-

Admission Requirements

  • A completed application form.
  • Transcripts showing that the applicant has received a bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited or state approved college or university.
  • Three letters of reference (one of which must be from the pastor of the church which the applicant is currently attending, one from another pastor, and one from a college professor. )
  • A Christian Experience essay
  • Two pictures

At Bethesda University, provisional or final notification of acceptance will be based upon the successful submission of candidate’s application and verification of transcripts. The university’s admission committee is responsible for releasing admission decision and will send a letter of admission to the enrolled candidates.

While on the other hand, students who fail to secure an admission at the university will receive the notice of non-admission from the Admission Committee.
