South Baylo University is an Acupuncture school located in Anaheim, California. Presently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university offers courses through distance education using Google Classroom and Google Meet to the students. Due to COVID-19, the registration for the summer quarter will start from June 08, 2020.

  • For all pre-admission courses, the students with no less than a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale will be accepted. The master’s and doctoral level courses have a specific requirement that needs to be met by the applicants.
  • The MSAOM is offered in English, Korean, and Chinese whereas the DAOM program is offered in English and Korean.

South Baylo University International Student Admissions

The South Baylo University’s international students for admission  need to fulfill some additional admission requirements that are needed while applying to the university.

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students 

All the international applicants applying at South Baylo University must show their proficiency in the English language to enter the US. The students must have obtained a good score in TOEFL, IELTS for academic entry to apply at the university.

Visa Process for International Students

The International students planning to study at the university must apply for a Student visa to study in the USAonce the Letter of acceptance has been issued by the university. I-20 is issued only to a full-time student.

To apply for an I-20 and F-1 visa, international students need to complete:

  • Immigration and Financial Declaration Form
  • Pay the $200 I-901 SEVIS fee
  • Schedule an F-1 Student Visa appointment
  • Attend a visa interview

The international students have to produce the following documents to get an F-1 student visa:

  • Copy of passport
  • Certificate of financial support/ Bank statement.
  • Personal data information form
  • English Language Proficiency test score.

After receiving I-20 the visa-seeking students have to pay the US immigration SEVIS fee worth USD$200 (I-901 fee) before their interview is scheduled at the US Embassy.

Question 1.- What is the exact duration of the MSAOM degree Program?

Ans. The allowed time given to complete the MSAOM degree program is sixteen (16) quarters or four (4) calendar years. The students must be enrolled in an average of twelve (12) units each quarter so that they can meet the stated time frame and the regulations laid by the South Baylo University on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

The maximum program length for this program is twenty-four (24) quarters or six (6) calendar years.

Question 2- How long will it take to do the DAOM degree program?

Ans. The maximum time given to any student to complete the DAOM degree program is twelve (12) quarters or three (3) calendar years. The students must be enrolled in an average of 8 to 12 units each quarter so that they can meet the mentioned time frame and the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

The maximum program length for this course is sixteen (16) quarters or four (4) calendar year.

Question 3- Is financial assistance offered to international students?

Ans. Yes, financial assistance is offered to qualified students only. The financial assistance is made available in the form of scholarships, Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, etc.

Question 4- Can DSOs send signed Forms I-20 (through electronic mode) to students instead of physically mailing the forms?

Ans. Yes, amid COVID-19, schools don’t need permission from SEVP or report their plans to them. DSOs will electronically send Forms I-20 to the interested students through an email. SEVP has discovered the following ways to sign and send the Form I-20:

  • The students can email a scanned version of the physically signed Form I-20;
  • They can also email a digitally signed Form I-20 by using electronic signature software.
  • They can either email a digitally signed Form I-20 containing a digitally reproduced copy of a physical signature.
