Randolph College Campus

Randolph College’s 125-acre campus is located in the centre of Virginia. The residential halls and buildings are built with a touch of history to it. The college has access to all shopping areas, entertainment arenas and much more. 

Details About Residential Halls

In order to avail the residential facilities at the campus, the newly admitted students can choose from 14 different types of residence halls. The college has six residence halls for upperclassmen and eight residence halls for freshmen.

Details about few of the residence halls available for freshmen are: 

  • Andrews Hall- This hall was opened in 2011. It has a beautiful suite-style living for all the freshmen. Students get access to all the facilities. The rooms can be shared by two students at a time.
  • Bennett Hall- This residence hall is specifically for male freshmen. The total capacity it holds is of 46 students. The rooms are allotted on a double sharing basis.
  • Irby Hall- Irby hall is home to 46 freshman students. All the basic amenities are being provided in all the rooms.

Upperclassmen can choose to live at one of the following residence halls: 

  • Birdsong Hall: This hall was established in 2014. It is home for 120 senior students. It is built to provide an independent style of living. Each residence has four single bedrooms but to avail this, the student has to show high excellence in academics and discipline.
  • Conrad Hall: This hall has suite-style of living. A total of 148 upperclassmen can be admitted. Every suite has two rooms to offer.

Programs Offered

Randolph College is most popular for its liberal arts and science courses. Students can choose from 37 majors and 38 minors for a bachelors degree. Some of the courses offered by Randoplh Macon College at the bachelors’ level are as follows:

  • Bachelors’ in Studio Art
  • BA in Economics
  • BA in Chemistry and much more.

Divisions and Faculties

The college has the divisions/departments in varied fields, such as Accounting, Education, Nursing, Philosophy, etc. The faculties are all full-time and have the highest of the knowledge and intellect to assist students in their designated field.

Procedure for Applying at Randolph Macon College

Application Portal: Randolph College accepts admission applications via its own application management system. However, students can also apply through Common Application portal.

Application Fee: One good thing about applying at Randolph College is that it charges no application fee.

Application Deadlines: Students can apply for either fall semester or spring semester. Deadline for submitting fall semester application is March 1 and December 1 for spring semester application.

Admission Requirements: Randolph College is very open and welcoming when it comes to the admission of international students. Following requirements should be fullfilled for succesful submission of application:

  • Official secondary high school transcripts.
  • Letter of recommendation from either of them: teacher, counsellor, principal or headmaster.

Scholarships and Financial Aids

The college in itself is an affordable option for all the prospective students. However, they can also apply for the financial aid and are free to contact the administration in case of any query.

Following are the aids provided by the college:

  • Merit-based aid: This aid is presented to those students who have shown high academic achievements in high school. GPA and test scores are evaluated for the same.
  • Need-based aid- Only FAFSA is required to apply for this specific aid. No cost is being charged to fill this form.
  • Interest-specific scholarships for prospective freshmen- Students who are selected for this program receive half-tuition scholarships for the first two years and full-tuition scholarships for the next two years. This award cannot be combined with any other academic scholarship or grant.
  • Grants- There are total 11 grants mentioned under this section.
  • Loans- There are four types of loans that are available for the students. They are: Subsidized, Unsubsidized, Direct parents’ loan and private loans.
