Montserrat was born in the late sixties, a time when people were questioning the status quo and seeking new solutions. A group of artists who were working and teaching in the Boston area had a bold idea: to create a new kind of art school. My GPA was 8. I was required to submit a common application form.

    Course Curriculum :

Art Education curriculum covers several areas, including psychology and child development, philosophical and social foundations underlying art in education, curriculum design for individuals and groups according to different stages of development and cultural/linguistic affinities, special needs and differentiated learning strategies, traditional and current methods and materials used in art education, short- and long-term instructional unit design.

Since I was an ardent art lover, the knack of drawing, painting, and sculpting had always been there in me. I completed my high school with arts as my optional subject, since in our curriculum art was not taken as a major. I gradually realized the study of pure arts would not fetch me the kind of career-oriented growth that I desired. Thus I focused more on Animation and other forms of Interactive Media which had a global perspective on it. Then while searching for colleges abroad, I found out about Montserrat College of Art. I found that they were offering a comprehensive bachelor's degree in Animation and Interactive Design, with an innumerable number of career outcomes. I found this prospect to be very attractive and I applied for the college via the online portal along with a $50 non-refundable application fee.

    Course Curriculum :

Animation and Interactive Media dealt with the implementation of computer software to create media platforms. I learned subjects like Animating Facts, Issues and Events, Pre-Production for Games and Animation, Stop Motion Animation, Animation Principles, 2D Character Animation, 3D Character Animation, Animating Stories, Storyboarding, Motion Design, The Exquisite Frame, Kinetic Drawing and Interactive Design: 3D Game Development which in a way assisted me to develop my skills in this field.

I got to know about Montserrat College of Art through a friend of mine who had previously studied there. So I looked more into it and did lots of research until I decided to apply. I submitted my application through an online portal with a $50 application fee.

    Course Curriculum :

I felt the course curriculum was well-formulated. My concentration was in Graphic Design, my subjects being Typography, Images, Design Stories, Advertising, Web Authoring and other topics coming under Graphic Design. They helped me establish a firm foundation on the fundamentals of my field of study that has been very crucial for me.
