California State University
CSU Fullerton is the best Cal State
I applied to 8 colleges and got accepted to three. I received full rights to UC Merced but decided to go to CSU Fullerton because of the diverse community. In high school, I ranked 7/87 I believe. I learned about this college through an older sister I know who attends here, she is now in her third year. My school had paid for the first 4 fee waivers for the Cal States.
I think that my major is fairly easy and populated, It is mostly English-like courses and speech classes
I originally chose to become a kinesiology major but decided that I wanted to plan things and also make things happen such as events. I honestly do not know what score you have to receive but I got 1100 on my SAT and 17/24 on the essay portion. I didn't take any college courses in high school and did not do APs so I came in without any college credits.
The times are given during the first week of class, some professors are lenient about missing the exam and taking a makeup exam but not everyone is like that.
The largest class that I have would be 110 but it's not too bad. The professors are really nice, I looked them up before I chose my classes on rate my professor to make sure they were perfect.
The college offers a scholarship called Tuffy's Scholarship which is something new, you receive a balance of one hundred dollars per semester to buy things you need such as books and also give you a laptop for your own use. Because I am dorming I received about 11,000 and 2,500 in loans which is a lot.
I chose to live on campus dorms because of the experience and even though it is a bit pricy I think it's very much worth it. I have the second most expensive meal plan which is a five day, Monday to Friday dining but it's all you can eat. The only down is that you starve on weekends and you cant take food out of the cafeteria.
We have job festivals to see what jobs are offered, internships, and federal work-study as well. The federal work-study amount ranges from 2,500 to 5,000 depending on what the job is. As for jobs and internships, it all depends on what you choose and what is offered, can be no pay internship or it can be.
Yes depending on your major an academic advisor may be of help to you in finding internships that fit for your major. You can also use the college website that shows internships and job opportunities.
Discover fest is basically a club rush, where all clubs gather and advertise to get you to join. There are events specifically for people that dorms such as brunch, block party, nature walk, and etc. Also have titans well which plan events like a free meal, dog therapy, and etc.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
