Iowa State University
Iowa State College Overview
The total tuition rates and academic placements. There are also a lot of opportunities within the college. Those include clubs, jobs, and internships. Some other reasons were the price of housing and meals. Also the sense of community throughout the whole university. As a whole, I really loved the college after I visited.
Sometimes I think it is not worth it but it has greatly helped me in my higher class.
The minimum scores required are low.
Exams are typically structured by your professor in your syllabus but can be very specific.
I feel the actual professors are great typically. I have gotten lucky and I have had good teachers.
They have the tuition which encases feed for your college, specific classes, and health fees. The loans I received are all through my university and FAFSA. For international students, I feel there are a lot of opportunities for them to receive scholarships from both the school and outside sources if you are actively looking.
In my first year, I lived in a residence hall with a meal plan, which I did because it was close to class and easy. In my second year, I live at the on-campus apartments, which were close but gave us more freedom. This year I am at an off-campus apartment to have the most freedom as possible.
There are many career fairs and job days on campus where employers come and talk with students. They also occasionally have employers come into classes to speak with us. Sometimes your professor can help you find a job.
I have had 3 different on-campus jobs. Most averages $10 an hour for pay. They are also very flexible with the student's class and studying schedules. The eligibility is usually to just have a 2.0 GPA.
There are a lot of events all over campus for everyone.
To receive my financial aid I just filled out the FAFSA and for scholarships, I filled out the scholarship application offered by the university.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
