University of Texas
Studying at UTA
One of my principal reason for choosing this college was I wanted to enhance my research skills through the MS program of UTA, although it was quite challenging and time-demanding. However, one more thing to consider is that the college follows well updated curriculum. I applied by filling up the application available on the official website along with an application fee of $90.
Course curriculum which was there in Masters was quite impressive as it pampered me with a good deeper knowledge of practical aspects of IT firm and not just theory aspects of it. They also do the necessary modification to the course curriculum whenever required to keep up with the technology trend as we all know IT field is continuously evolving field.
There were two exams that I had taken, one is GRE and another is IELTS. As the candidate who wishes to study abroad has to go through all of the given exams. When I was studying B.Tech Course I started giving some amount of time for the preparation of GRE and I managed to score 311 on the board and 7 bands in the IELTS which made me eligible to get admission.
When it comes to the fee structure my tuition fee for the first year was around $18500. There are also other expenses involved such as Insurance, Transportation, Technology, Library services and Miscellaneous expenses and the total of all of these expenses is nearly $10500. The cost of accommodation (on campus hostels) is not included.
I would say the job placement opportunities at my college is quite good. When I was in my final year many IT Giant Communicates conducted the on-campus drive for our school and almost 65% of students successfully made it to the company with an average salary package of $40000 per which was very motivational for students like me.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
