University of Texas
Good university for pursuing MBA
There were a couple of reasons that motivated me to apply for the University of Texas. One of the major reasons was I wanted to pursue further studies abroad and get settled there. Being from BBA background I wanted to do in-depth studies about Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, so there is no better way than going for an MBA.
The course curriculum is quite good but a bit challenging at the same time. Although it encourages us to stay dedicated to our academics, in the end, it is beneficial for us. My program curriculum is giving me enough exposure of the latest business models of the industry and hence I am preparing myself to succeed in the future.
During my graduation period, I started doing the preparation of GRE for more than one year. Eventually, I got to know that being an international student I also have to go through TOEFL which is an English proficiency test. I scored around 80 marks in the TOEFL test. I obtained about 402 marks in GRE also.
The annual tuition fee for my program is somewhere around $55000 per year. Besides that, there are also Insurance charges of around $2530, $200 of an application fee, $100 expense for books and supplies and last one is an MBA student fee for which they are charging about $850.
I had opted for an on-campus hostel and from the past few months I am living in the hostel and the living here is amazing. In fact, food is also fabulous. The annual fee for the hostel is around $12000 including accommodation and food.
I am a freshman to this college, therefore I do not have the appropriate information about the training and placement cell of the University of Texas of Austin. But as per the previous records, the college offers great job opportunities along with a good salary package as well.
The annual conference, Grants showcase, Celebration meeting, and plenty of other events are celebrated over here.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
