California State University
I chose this particular University out of all the others because the accountancy program here is the only one in Orange County to be accredited by AACSB International separately for Graduate and undergraduate levels. I was a BBA student so I fulfilled the criteria successfully. I applied through the Cal State Apply, for the application I had to pay $55 application fee.
My core curriculum has 12 units that include Accounting Theory, Auditing, Management Control Systems. The curriculum also includes Professional Accounting Communications and Taxations of Corporations and Shareholders. My electives have 6 units in total. My program helps to develop the conceptual understanding and technical competence needed for succeeding in a professional career.
The program that I am enrolled in is highly competitive and specifically required a Bachelors's degree in Business Administration with an accounting concentration. The total credits for the program are 18. I had to maintain a GPA of 3.3 throughout. I was asked to submit a professional resume particularly. I also needed a recommendation from the Admissions Committee based on my transcripts. A Statement of Purpose is necessary. I submitted a TOEFL score of 90 in the internet-based exam.
My tuition fee is around $20,000. There is an additional Graduate Business Professional fee of $270 per unit and a Non-resident tuition fee of $400 per unit. There is no financial aid. So at the time of admission, I had to submit the CSUF Financial Affidavit signed by my sponsor. I was asked to submit my sponsor's bank statement.
