Student journey at Nyack College.
After a lot of brainstorming, I decided to pursue my bachelors from the USA. After securing a GPA of 7, I applied to 5 universities. I wanted to get admitted to this college as the academic excellence of Nyack has been recognized by the Middle States Commission on Accreditation, The New York State Department of Education, and The Association of Theological Schools. My admission procedure was quite simple and required submission of an online application form, after paying an application fee of around $30.
My Organizational Management was an upper-division degree program. Through a cohort-based model of learning, the program prepared me to create positive organizational and individual change, through developing my ability to assess organizational needs and utilize innovative and strategic solutions. The Course content was geared towards practical application in the everyday lives and occupations of students. I was able to transfer in 60-84 credits from life, career experience, and prior academic coursework.
I was keen to learn organizational management, as I wanted to start my own firm after completion of my studies. I wanted to acquire in-depth knowledge about my field and With a strong focus on academic research in this program, I wanted to fully prepare myself for graduate school. My admission procedure involved the submission of my internet-based TOEFL score of 95 and an SAT exam score of 1450. The documents required by my college include my official transcripts, Professional Recommendation, Work and Life Experience Summary, Writing Sample, and Immunization Records.
My tuition and fees expenses were around $25,100. The books and supplies expenses including my miscellaneous expenses were around $6000. I had applied for financial aid at the time of my application form submission. I was eligible for a student loan, which covered some amount of my tuition and fees expenses. I was required to submit my financial affidavit and a statement of purposes for the financial aid.
The college offered a housing facility which was quite expensive. I along with my two friends had rented an apartment near the college. The room and board expenses were around $5000. My meal plan expenses, along with my travel expenses were around $7000.
The Nyack College Career Services website offers job listings, a self-assessment tool, resume samples, cover letter samples, and career resources. The Career Counseling and Services is available to provide support to every student at every stage of career development. The career services helped me in making informed decisions and provided me with the skill set needed to manage my own career as I was growing into my profession and calling. I was taught to develop myself in five forms assessing myself, exploring options, developing skills, marketing myself, and performing.
My college conducts a wide range of events from time to time. Some of the events held at my college were art, music, and dance workshops, literary enactment, seminars, career workshops, and events.
