McCombs School of Business
McCombs, a future focused university for MBA.
McCombs is famous for its rankings, and that's how I came to know about it. I managed to complete my graduation was a GPA of 3.4 out of 4. The application fee was around $200 and had a 3 round application process (online) which is given in detail on its website.
The course gives us an insight into all the parts of an MBA. Rather than focussing on textbooks, our highly experienced faculty focuses on practical knowledge and males us completely ready for the future world. In McCombs, we build networks and have outside classroom experience. The faculties help us to elevate our potentials and turn all our negatives into positives.
I took IELTS and GMAT for which my scores were 8 and 715. There were 260 students in my batch and the average university score of my batch was around 3.42.
The tuition fee for 1 year is $56,400 for an international student. There is a scholarship of $2000 given to selected international students. There are also other scholarships such as the Slyff global scholarship and Mccombs forte scholarship. There is also an LGBTQ fellowship program. The application for the scholarship is not separate and is completely based on merit.
Hostel and food are provided by the campus. But students can choose to stay outside. I personally choose to stay inside the campus as that was more convenient. The expense for both is almost the same.
59 world-class companies from around the globe come for recruiting at McCombs, these include Microsoft, J.P Morgan, Walmart, Dell etc. The starting salary is around $125,000. The students from McCombs always end up performing really well as they are well trained for it.
Our college provides an internship at around 28 companies from all around the world with a stipend of around $7550. Our faculties completely prepare us for an internship and students travel across the globe.
We celebrate cultures across the world. Therefore we celebrate almost all the big festivals. We also have annual college visits were outsiders and prominent personalities get to share space with our current MBA batch.
