Studying at UNC !!

  • My father suggested me to opt for this university as one of his friends was a professor at this university. I explored the university online and got attracted to the infrastructure and many other things. I applied to the college via the common app by paying a non-refundable fee of $75.

  • COURSE CURRICULUM

The computer systems concentration prepares us for graduate studies in computer science and for careers in science and engineering applications, systems programming, and software development, while the information systems concentration prepares us for careers in commercial programming, systems analysis and design, and database management.

  • EXAMS

I opted for this program because of my keen interest in the computer science field. Also, computer science is my favorite subject and I always scored good marks in it. I took the SAT and TOEFL exams in which I got 1140 and 96 marks.

  • FEE STRUCTURE

I am paying around $25000 towards my tuition fee, $1500 towards Health Insurance, $1500 for books and supplies.

  • ACCOMMODATION

I am living at the Governor's Hall which is maintained by the university. The rooms are well furnished and equipped with all the things for daily needs. I have to pay $8000 for the room and board and another $5000 for the meal plan.

  • PLACEMENT

I don't know much about the job and placement opportunities provided to us as still I am in my first year and these fields are yet to be researched. But, according to my seniors, they all have grabbed the best opportunities and are placed in good companies.

  • EVENTS

The university arranges exciting events throughout the year for creating a link among the students and teachers. Some of the events being celebrated include- concerts, career fairs, debates, and workshops.

  • Monthly Expense : $200 - $500
