University at Buffalo
MBA at the University at Buffalo
During my pre-final year in Engineering, I had decided to move to the States for my masters. It was around this time that I started looking for universities with a decent acceptance rate and relatively better diversity. UaB is the oldest established university in New York hence there was a lot of information I could get my hands onto. The admission process was a bit complicated and I have to start early as the acceptance rate is around 60%.
The course was really fast-paced.
I had my IELTS score with me by the time I was started applying for the colleges I know I had chances of getting into and which I could afford. You need to have a decent SOP and LOR to actually get accepted. The student's reviews on Masters in Business administration were really positive and I hence decided that UaB would be perfectly suited for me.
The fee structure during My time at UaB was around $17k yearly. I had been selected for the global study awards scholarship that covered almost 30% of my tuition fee every year which was close to $5k. I had decided to apply for an educational loan from SBI as well.
The on-campus accommodation provided by the University is like any other college, but the fee for it is quite high. Hence, I stayed on campus for my junior year and moved off-campus for my senior year. There are a lot of options available if you look around in the city for accommodation near the campus.
The average pay recieved by graduating students is in access of $20k and almost all the senior year students graduating students take up on campus offers. Almost all the multinational companies visit the campus for recruitment like E&Y, Microsoft, Google etc.
