BA Fine Arts from Earlham College
Getting a confirm seat in Earlham was not at all easy. Every year Earlham receives over thousands of international applications but around 70 could make it. So for a safer side, I had sent my application to three more colleges. But eventually, I got a response from Earlham. The application fee for the online application fee was $35.
The concentration of the program is Art History, Ceramics, Fibers, Metals, Painting and Photography.
The Bachelors in Arts had options in both the Majors and Minors topics. The minors offer 22 credits. Along with the online application, I submitted my IELTS result in which I scored 7.5 points and my SAT score in which I was able to get 1280. Also, I sent in my art portfolio to make my application stand out.
The annual expense including the residence, meals, tuition and other supplementary expenses goes up to $60000. There are Scholarships, Student loans and other financial aid options available. I took up a student loan and paid the installments from internship money.
It's better to stay on campus especially for international students like me. Finding a place and a good caterer is much of a task. So it was easier and affordable to sign up for the campus residence and meal service.
The course has a part we have to get an internship related to our curriculum so that we can apply the theories into actual practice. It also gains bonus points on our resume and helps us be more professional.
We have over 20 clubs so everyone on campus finds something or others to engage with. Our annual festival is always extravagant.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
