California Institute of Technology
My experience at California Institute of Technology
I wanted to join the California Institute of Technology and pursue my bachelor's from there. After doing thorough research I liked the academics, the campus and the professors at CalTech so I decided to apply and submitted a common application and paid a $75 application fee.
The course is structured with a goal of making us understand the physical process that rules the universe, the origin and evolution, the methodology of physics, etc. It concentrates on the concept of astronomy today.
I filled a common application and paid the application fee along with which I submitted my official high school marks transcripts, teacher's evaluation, secondary school report, TOEFL score of 580 as proof of English proficiency, and my SAT scores of 1275 in order to obtain admission at CalTechs.
We were requested to pay a one-time orientation fee of $500 during the time of admission. The tuition that I had paid was $52,500 along with fees of $2,000. We have a lot of financial aid options available to us for which we can approach the admission office. I did not apply for scholarships.
I stayed in the housing facility provided by the university for which I paid $9,600 for room charges and the meal fees that I paid was $7000. The books and supply cost me $1,500 and my personal expenses are $500 a month.
