University of Texas
I chose UT Austin because it is one of the most highly rated public universities in the world, especially for my major in Computer Science. Additionally, I am from Texas, so I was able to get into this college and pay in-state tuition.
I believe the course curriculum is effective. I do not agree with having to take some specific classes to meet flag requirements. These courses are a bit repetitive and they require extra hours, which are totally irrelevant.
SAT: 1510, ACT: 34. I am only a freshman this year so I have not taken any university level exams at this point in time.
My exams are structured as being given two to three midterms per semester, with a final at the end. These midterms vary, and finals do not have a standard form. As these finals are given at the end of the semester, they are cumulative.
The faculty at my school are top-notch, and I have never encountered an underwhelming professor. They truly understand their curriculum and truly understand how to teach it.
Students pay set tuition based on whether they pay in-state tuition or otherwise. They pay on a semesterly basis and can apply for FAFSA or other scholarships. One may also live on campus, and they are given 6 payments to complete per year.
I am not provided with an internship. The college does not expect to give me an internship or for me to have one, so it is up to me to go about acquiring an internship elsewhere if I would like to pursue it.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
