My life story at Shorter University

    DP
    Daanish Rao Purohit

My cousin who is settled down in the USA had advised me to take admission to this college. I had to fill a common application form through its website. I also paid $25 as an application fee. My score of 8.9 GPA in 12th was also taken into account while taking admission.

    Course Curriculum

    8/10

The course was very diverse and provided knowledge of various subjects. The course helped me work on my Oral Communication Skills, Research skills, Critical thinking and problem-solving.

    Exams

I wanted to do my master's in law or political science so I had opted for this course to build my base. I had taken 2 exams of ACT and IELTS where I scored 24 and 7.0 receptively. I had even provided the photocopy of my passport, letter of recommendation and previous mark-sheet.

    Placement

    7/10

All the jobs were provided through the placement cell of the college. I had opted for higher studies but my friends gave an interview for many companies like World Relief Organization, Rome History Museum, Private Attorneys' Office and got the pay scale of $60,000.

    Events

    8/10

Events were organized mostly by the student organization and helped the students to adjust to the new environment. So many events celebrated from time to time such as Spring Concert, Theatre, Athletic Dinner, alumni meet.

    Fees

The fee structure that I paid was $21,000 along with that my books supplies cost me around $1000 plus the general fee of $400 was also paid by me. Other than that my miscellaneous expenses were close to $2000. I had received financial aid of $3500 which helped me a lot.

    Faculty

    9/10

The faculty was very nice and understanding. Professors used to provide one on one training plus practicals used to happen in very small batches. Mr. Rick Crawford helped me a lot in understanding International Relations and Procedural Law plus he also available every time I had a doubt.
